Musinsa to Pay 130 Billion Won in Settlement Funds Early to Partner Brands Ahead of Chuseok
For Around 10,000 Partners: Early Payment on September 22 for Purchases Finalized from September 1–20
Short-Term Funding Needs Before the Holiday Prompt Settlement Date to Be Moved Up
On September 14, Musinsa announced that, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, it will pay out approximately 130 billion won in settlement funds early to help its partner brands manage their cash flow.
The early settlement will apply to around 10,000 partners that have their brands listed on the Musinsa and 29CM online stores. Musinsa plans to make advance payments on September 22, right before the Chuseok holiday, for finalized purchases that occurred between September 1 and September 20.
Under the previous system, settlement payments for purchases finalized from the 1st to the end of each month were made collectively on the 10th of the following month. This time, the payment schedule was advanced in consideration of the Chuseok holiday falling in late September.
This measure aims to ease the financial burden on brands listed on the platform, whose short-term funding needs for payroll and logistics tend to increase ahead of the holiday. Musinsa has regularly supported its partners by paying out settlement funds early around major holidays.
