Under the theme of libraries and librarians, the contest included entries such as "Librarian, My Story," stories about each library, case studies on library programs and services, and promotional videos for libraries.
The video submitted by Jung, titled "The World’s Strongest Librarian: The Journey Toward Becoming a Librarian," depicted the role and real-life stories of librarians. After evaluation and on-site voting, it was ultimately selected as the Excellence Award-winning work.
In the first half of this year, the Youngjin College Library, with budget support from the university’s Lifelong Education Center and the Buk-gu District Office in Daegu, operated a digital literacy program for local residents, cementing its role as a hub for lifelong learning in the community.
Jung captured these field experiences in the video, sharing the insights and challenges gained from running the digital literacy program for the local community, and reflecting on the roles and personal growth as a librarian to highlight the meaning of libraries and the librarian’s profession.
