Presidential Office Holds Emergency Security Meeting: "North Korean Ballistic Missile Launch Violates UN Resolutions, Urged to Cease"
After North Korea launched ballistic missiles, the presidential office convened an emergency security situation review meeting on September 12, 2026, to check the state of preparedness.

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, North Korea launched 12 ballistic missiles into the East Sea from the Wonsan area at approximately 5:20 a.m. It is believed that this was in protest against the "Freedom Edge" exercise conducted by South Korea, the United States, and Japan from September 7 to September 11, 2026.
