The Seoul Jewelry Support Center (SJC) is introducing a new Ring Pilgrimage course to mark "2026 Ring Week in Seoul," held from September 1 to 15, 2026. Following the Seosulla-gil route, SJC now presents the "Donhwamun-ro Course," highlighting the stories of jewelry creators to the public.
The recommended Donhwamun-ro Course starts at Donhwamun, the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace, and leads visitors along a path connecting to the heart of the Jongno jewelry district. Along this route, a variety of jewelry brands based in Jongno are introduced.
When choosing a gemstone or searching for your own personalized jewelry, who provides the explanation is just as important as the design or price. ▲Park Changhoon, CEO of Hanadiamond, ▲Kim Suhyeon, CEO of Lan;Goldroom, and ▲Kwon Saera, CEO of Layer 12, are all experts in gemstone identification. They help customers select jewelry that suits them by explaining the characteristics and value of each stone.
The meaning of jewelry also changes depending on who shares it with you. ▲Kwon Junghyuk, CEO of Vogring Jewelry, presents a variety of couple rings and wedding bands. ▲Shin Dahae, CEO of GEDH, offers jewelry that can be engraved with custom messages, making it possible to share special meaning with loved ones.
Sometimes, who created the jewelry becomes the brand’s identity itself. ▲WILLING is a brand led by master artisan Oh Hyogeun, Republic of Korea Master Craftsman No. 542, who brings the goldsmithing techniques of Jongno workshops to contemporary and stylish gold daily jewelry.
▲HAUS OF AeREE features designer Park Aeri as the face of the brand, directly engaging with customers. By sharing the stories behind her designs and jewelry through social media and video content, she is growing the brand’s following even online.
▲heradi is a brand launched by designer Heo Jungim, who draws on nearly 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry to present jewelry inspired by natural lines and forms.
The ring pilgrimage offers three recommended courses—Seosulla-gil, Donhwamun-ro, and Ockcore—featuring jewelry brands across the Jongno area. Visitors can follow the "Ring Week in Seoul" flags through the alleys of Jongno to discover each course’s featured brands.
This year’s "Donhwamun-ro Course" is expected to be more than just an introduction to commercial spaces; it is anticipated to provide a vital cultural experience that invigorates the offline jewelry district as producers and customers directly interact.
