KaKaoBank now allows customers to accumulate small amounts of physical gold over a fixed period of time.
On September 11, KaKaoBank announced the launch of its "Gold Accumulation" service, in partnership with the physical gold trading platform Geumbang.
This service enables customers to set a target weight and accumulate gold over a period of 26 weeks. The key feature is the ability to set and gradually achieve a specific goal.
Customers can choose a target weight of 1 don, 2 don, 3 don, 5 don, or up to 10 don. After joining the service, gold is purchased through automatic transfers based on the selected weight over the course of 26 weeks. The gold price applied each week reflects the market price at that time.
The accumulated gold is purchased as physical gold each week and stored in professional vaults operated by Korea Securities Depository and partner companies. After reaching the target weight, customers can use free storage services or sell their gold at any time. They may also choose to receive their gold as physical products, such as gold bars or accessories, depending on personal preference.
