Shinhan Bank Holds Dementia Prevention Lecture at 'Hagijae' in Collaboration with Gachon University Gil Medical Center
For Senior Students in Incheon
Shinhan Bank announced on September 11 that it held a special lecture on dementia prevention for senior students at 'Shinhan Hagijae Incheon' in collaboration with Gachon University Gil Medical Center, ahead of Dementia Awareness Day on September 21.
This special lecture was organized to help seniors understand the main symptoms of dementia, recognize the importance of early detection, and learn about health management methods that can be practiced in daily life.
Professor Choi Soo-jung from the Department of Family Medicine at Gachon University Gil Medical Center gave the lecture, providing professional medical information tailored to the students' level and introducing practical methods that can be used in everyday life.
Shinhan Bank is also continuing its financial consumer protection efforts to support safe financial activities for senior customers. These include AI-based abnormal behavior detection at ATMs, a Fraud Detection System (FDS) for monitoring unusual transactions, alerts for abnormal financial signs involving parents, and the operation of dementia care trusts.
'Shinhan Hagijae', an educational institution for seniors and other financially vulnerable groups, plans to expand the scope of its content from finance-centered education to areas that provide practical help in daily living, using this dementia prevention lecture as a momentum.
