Previously on September 10 (local time), the New York stock market weakened as oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields surged. This led to projections that the domestic market would also start lower. Ji-Young Han, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, commented, "On September 11, the domestic stock market is expected to open lower due to the pressure of rising interest rates and oil prices, the growing sense of caution regarding the U.S. CPI for August, and increased macroeconomic uncertainties, as well as the KOSPI night futures showing declines in the 3% range."
