Bluepoint Launches Recruitment for First CSprint Cohort... Seeking Entrepreneurial Talents
Deep tech accelerator Bluepoint Partners announced on September 11 that it is recruiting talents to commercialize university and government-funded research institute technologies through the first batch of the "CSprint" program.
Applicants are not required to prepare a business item themselves. Instead, they can select a technology that matches their experience and areas of interest from university and research institute technologies whose intellectual property rights and commercialization suitability have already been vetted by Bluepoint. They will then work with the respective researchers to validate its business potential.
Researchers and entrepreneur-minded participants explore the possibilities for collaboration based on an understanding of each other's experience and technologies, ultimately forming teams. The technologies offered to the first batch mainly focus on physical AI and sensor fields based around KAIST.
The main selection criteria are previous experience launching products or services in the market or creating revenue or paid transactions. While researchers are responsible for the technical side, selected entrepreneur-type talents define customer pain points and design the purchasing structure.
Selected participants will join a nine-week program. After receiving education on technology commercialization and technical briefings, they collaborate with researchers for two weeks to design business models, followed by four weeks of customer interviews to test market feasibility. In the final "Founder Review" stage, the teams decide whether to legally incorporate.
Participation is free of charge, and Bluepoint provides selected participants with support for customer discovery, proof-of-concept (PoC) expenses, testing, analysis, outsourcing, expert consultations, workspace, and legal, intellectual property (IP), and technology transfer reviews.
Team matching with researchers is not assigned by the organizers; rather, both sides must mutually agree in order to form a team. If the team passes the Founder Review, Bluepoint's investment review committee will consider them for potential follow-on investment.

Yonggun Kim, Vice President of Bluepoint Partners, said, "While universities and research institutes have accumulated technologies that hold commercialization potential, it is still difficult to find business leaders who can connect these to real-world customer needs and turn them into actual businesses. Through CSprint, we aim to create a new path for researchers and experienced business professionals to meet customers, validate market potential, and turn research technologies into real deep-tech startups."
