Pilot Introduction of 'AI Connector'

Nexon is piloting an artificial intelligence (AI) agent feature in its games that can retrieve real-time information and even play the game automatically.
The operations team for Nexon's 'Mabinogi Mobile' recently introduced the 'AI Connector' feature under development through an official announcement. The AI Connector links the user's AI tools with the game and can be activated in the game settings. Supported AI tools include Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, and others. However, since this is not a feature provided directly by the game, users are responsible for any costs incurred.
Users can inquire with the AI agent about information such as the current amount of in-game currency, even when not actively playing. The AI agent responds based on factors such as the character's current location and status, ongoing quests, daily and weekly missions, other users' names, and chat content.
Users can also instruct the AI agent to perform specific actions. The AI agent follows the user’s commands, automatically moving the character to gather and process materials into items. It can also perform simple actions such as playing music from sheet music in the inventory, or standing up after sitting down. In-game chat is also possible via the AI agent, which composes messages upon the player's request and approval, with an indication that the content was generated by AI.
To prevent the game from turning into a purely idle experience, the operations team has made it so that the 'Wings of Spirit' item is consumed when assigning activities to the AI. Additionally, a pop-up appears every hour to check if the player is present. Actions that affect character growth, guild management, marketplace listing, or purchasing are not controllable by the AI agent.

The operations team commented, "This feature is taking its first steps, and we hope many users will find creative uses for it in various ways," and added, "After observing how players use the function in practice, we will carefully expand the range of supported applications."
