Goheung County in the Jeonnam-Gwangju Unified Special City announced that it will operate an emergency medical treatment system for four days, from September 24 to September 27, during the upcoming Chuseok holiday. This is to ensure that county residents and returning visitors can enjoy the holiday safely and in good health.
To minimize inconvenience for residents caused by the closure of hospitals and pharmacies during the holiday period, Goheung County will designate and operate selected medical institutions and pharmacies that remain open. In addition, the county health center and community health clinics will operate according to a special emergency schedule.
Furthermore, an emergency response team will be established to monitor the operation status of medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday and to respond quickly to emergency patients and medical-related complaints. The county also plans to operate an emergency infectious disease prevention system in parallel, including monitoring for outbreaks and responding to group diarrhea cases and other health incidents.
To ensure residents have easy access to the necessary information, posters will be posted at village halls, and information about open medical institutions and pharmacies will be actively promoted through the county's main website and social media channels.

A county health center official stated, "We will thoroughly operate an emergency medical treatment system during the Chuseok holiday so that residents and returning visitors can access medical services safely and without inconvenience."
