Adforus Enters Generative AI Search Optimization Market with New Service Launch Targeting ChatGPT and More
AI platform company Adforus is entering the generative AI search optimization market. The company plans to expand its new business by combining Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO) services with its existing advertising data platform, continuing its growth in performance.
On September 10, Adforus announced that its affiliate Illead has officially launched the GEO and AIO service 'ILLIGEO'.
Unlike existing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), GEO and AIO are technologies that optimize the structure of corporate information and content so that generative AI can accurately understand and reference them during its response generation process. As generative AI-based search services such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Naver AI Briefing expand, this is emerging as a new area for advertising and marketing.
Illead diagnoses whether an advertiser’s website and content are structured appropriately for AI search environments, and provides phased support for core question design, content structuring, landing page improvement, and search and AI testing.
Recently, as methods where generative AI directly summarizes information on the web and provides relevant sources become more common, how advertisers’ content is reflected in AI-generated answers is emerging as a new marketing challenge. In line with this market shift, Adforus plans to expand its advertising operations from portal, social networking services, and application-focused areas to AI search environments.
In particular, the plan is to establish an integrated management system linking Illead's GEO and AIO services with the existing advertising data platform, covering everything from advertising data analysis to content optimization, landing page improvements, and conversion performance management.
A company representative said, "With generative AI search becoming mainstream, the context in which advertiser content is interpreted and connected is becoming a key criterion for advertising operations. We will accelerate our performance growth by developing GEO and AIO services as a new business model that enhances advertisers’ search inflow and conversion performance, based on our existing AI advertising data platform and operational capabilities."
In addition to expanding new business, Adforus is also strengthening its shareholder return policy. Since its listing, the company has maintained four consecutive quarters of sales growth and sustained profitability through the second quarter of this year. To enhance shareholder value, the company recently decided to repurchase treasury shares worth 3 billion won, following a similar decision at the end of last year.
