KOSPI Flat in Early Trading, KOSDAQ Declines
The KOSPI is searching for direction in early trading, hovering around the flatline.
On September 10, the KOSPI opened at 7,038.85, down 12.79 points (0.18%) from the previous session.
Retail investors and foreign investors recorded net purchases of 28.6 billion won and 44.1 billion won, respectively, while institutional investors recorded net sales of 135.6 billion won.
By sector, construction (-2.73%), machinery and equipment (-2.39%), electric and gas utilities (-1.81%), general services (-1.18%), and securities (-1.16%) all declined.
Among the largest stocks by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics (-0.65%) and Samsung Electro-Mechanics (-1.64%) fell, while SK hynix (0.43%), Samsung Electronics preferred shares (0.30%), and SK Square (0.53%) posted gains.
The KOSDAQ started the session at 825.06, down 5.31 points (0.64%) compared to the previous session.
Retail investors recorded net purchases of 137.1 billion won, while foreign investors and institutional investors posted net sales of 93.8 billion won and 39.9 billion won, respectively.
By sector, general services (-2.06%), pharmaceuticals (-1.92%), metals (-1.63%), finance (-1.56%), and medical and precision devices (-1.28%) all posted declines.
