[Today’s New Release] Top 2% Jisam Concentrate... CheongKwanJang Launches "HongSamJung Ji"
Strengthening Premium HongSamJung Product Lineup
Launch of HongSamJung Yang Featuring Top 10% Yangsam
First Renewal of HongSamJung Masterclass Since Launch
CheongKwanJang announced on September 10 that it will strengthen its premium HongSamJung product lineup, targeting the recent demand for health management that values the rarity and quality of raw materials.
The company plans to launch two new products: "HongSamJung Ji" and "HongSamJung Yang," and to unveil a renewed version of the existing "HongSamJung Masterclass." Notably, the premium portfolio is further segmented by extending the graded value of root ginseng—Cheonsam, Jisam, and Yangsam—to include HongSam concentrate, allowing consumers to choose products based on the rarity and quality of the raw materials.
HongSam (red ginseng) is classified as Cheonsam, Jisam, or Yangsam according to inspection standards under the Ginseng Industry Act, which consider its shape, internal structure, and color. Based on CheongKwanJang’s average red ginseng raw material yield rate between 2022 and 2023, Jisam accounts for roughly the top 2% of all HongSam, and Yangsam about the top 10%, making them rare types of red ginseng.

HongSamJung Yang is made with a 100% concentrate of Yangsam, offering a harmonious blend of red ginseng’s unique taste and aroma. The "HongSamJung Masterclass," first launched in 2012, has also undergone its first package renewal in about 14 years. By unifying the design identity with the new premium HongSamJung lineup, the heritage of CheongKwanJang’s premium red ginseng products has been further enhanced.
The new packaging is inspired by the color of the “Bingpyo,” a root ginseng grading mark that has long served as proof of red ginseng’s grade. The motif expresses the value of ginseng that has been grown in the earth for a long time by modernizing the energy waves radiating from the earth’s roots and the colors found in nature.
