Hak Hyun Nam, CEO of i-SENS, expressed his gratitude in a congratulatory address to the employees for their efforts in the development of CareSens Air and the expansion into global markets.
Launched in September 2023, CareSens Air has established itself in a domestic market previously dominated by foreign brands, thanks to its convenience and accuracy. The company has continued to strengthen its product competitiveness by acting on feedback from local medical professionals and users, updating product approvals and improving its features. All processes from research and development to production have been carried out in Korea.
The product is also achieving results in the global market. In the first quarter of this year, sales of connected CGM products increased by 172% compared to the same period last year, and in the second quarter, it achieved its highest quarterly sales to date. The cumulative connected CGM sales for the first half of the year reached 17.8 billion won, of which 10.1 billion won came from overseas markets.
The company plans to step up efforts to capture more of the CGM market by introducing its next-generation product, CareSens Air2. i-SENS is currently conducting clinical trials for FDA approval in the United States, the world’s largest CGM market, and aims to complete both U.S. research clinical trials and China confirmatory trials for the current CareSens Air within this year.
