Woori Bank to Provide Loans of up to KRW 30 Billion to 45 Mid-Sized Companies in Semiconductors and AX Fields
Rising Leaders 300 Eighth Cohort Selected to Nurture Next-Generation Industry Leaders
Woori Bank announced on September 9 that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, it has finalized the selection of 45 companies for the eighth cohort of 'Rising Leaders 300,' a financial support program for mid-sized enterprises. The bank will now begin full-scale support for these companies.
Since 2023, Woori Bank and the Ministry have been promoting Rising Leaders 300, a productive financial support program designed to identify mid-sized companies with outstanding technological capabilities and growth potential, and nurture them as key players in next-generation industries.
To date, Woori Bank has provided a total of approximately KRW 2 trillion in funding to 225 mid-sized enterprises through this program.
This year, to enable more timely support, the recruitment notice was issued one month earlier than in the previous year. In response to changing industry trends, the program’s focus has also been shifted from digital transformation (DX) to artificial intelligence transformation (AX).
For the selected companies, Woori Bank will provide loans of up to KRW 30 billion per company and offer an interest rate discount of up to 1.0 percentage point in the first year. Additionally, non-financial services will be provided, including trade finance support, overseas expansion consulting, and business succession solutions.
