Namhae County in South Gyeongsang Province will operate the '1973 Namhae Bridge Experience' program on October 3, inviting participants to walk along the inspection routes of the suspension cables and main towers of the Namhae Bridge.
This program is designed to raise awareness about the structure and historical significance of the Namhae Bridge, completed in 1973, and to utilize the existing facilities as tourism experience content.
The experience program is divided into two courses: Course 1, which starts from the south end of the Namhae Bridge and circles the first main tower, and Course 2, which crosses the bridge from Namhae toward Hadong.
Course 1 is 265 meters long and is expected to take about 40 minutes, while Course 2 is 1.1 kilometers long and will take approximately 80 minutes.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via the reservation page on Namhae County's official website, starting at 9 a.m. on September 15. If the pre-registration quota is not filled, on-site registration will also be available.
For safety reasons, pregnant women, the elderly, minors under the age of 19, and individuals with chronic illnesses will not be permitted to participate. Participants must wear athletic shoes and appropriate attire, and the program may be canceled depending on weather conditions.
On the same day, the fall cultural event "Colored Sea" will also take place around the Namhae Bridge and Noryang Village.
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a DJ performance at the rooftop of the Namhae Welcome Center, and additional events such as a stamp tour and busking performances will take place utilizing the nearby forest area and deck paths around Namhae-gak.
In the evening, a jazz performance by "Susu Brothers," composed of bassist Jeong Sumin and pianist Jin Suyeong, will be held at the Sunset Stage.
An official from the Namhae County Tourism Promotion Division stated, "We prepared the program to promote the historical value of the Namhae Bridge and to provide tourism content utilizing existing facilities," adding, "We will focus on ensuring participant safety in operating the event."
