On September 9, the city of Gyeongju announced its key administrative news, including an increase to 15% for the Gyeongju Pay cashback at designated Good Price Stores, the hosting of the '2026 Gyeongju National Heritage Night Tour', selection as the top institution for gender impact assessment in Gyeongsangbuk-do for the second consecutive year, the Gender Equality Week commemorative ceremony, and the recruitment for Season 5 of the 'Youth New Golden Startup Zone'.
Starting from September 14 until the end of the year, when payments are made via Gyeongju Pay at any of the 46 designated Good Price Stores, a total of 15% cashback is provided—10% as a base rate with an additional 5%—with a monthly maximum of KRW 400,000.
Furthermore, from September 18 to 20, the '2026 Gyeongju National Heritage Night Tour' featuring 45 different programs, including the Black Eagles air show and humanities lectures, will be held over three days in the areas of Woljeonggyo Bridge, Gyochon Village, and Gyeongju Eupseong Fortress.
In addition, Gyeongju was selected as the top institution for gender impact assessment in Gyeongsangbuk-do for the second consecutive year, and a commemorative ceremony and unity event for Gender Equality Week were held at the Alcheon Hall of City Hall with approximately 200 citizens in attendance, during which 26 merit award recipients were honored.
Recruitment has also begun for participants in Season 5 of the 'Youth New Golden Startup Zone', part of efforts to revitalize the original downtown area.
