"Proactive Legal Risk Management"... Busan Urban Corporation Appoints Two New Legal Advisors
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, CEO Shin Chang-ho) appointed two new legal advisors on September 1 to systematically manage legal risks associated with major projects and to strengthen specialized legal support.
The newly appointed legal advisors are attorney Kim Munhee (from Jipyung LLC) and attorney Yang Wonho (from Ejin Law Firm).
With these appointments, Busan Urban Corporation will operate a system with a total of 13 legal advisors, including the existing 11. The new advisors will serve a two-year term starting from September 1, 2026, providing legal consultation and litigation-related services across the Corporation’s work.
The Corporation explained that as the scale of key projects such as the Centum 2 High-Tech Industrial Complex Development Project and the Busan Daejeo Public Housing District Development Project continues to expand, and as relevant laws and regulations grow increasingly complex, the importance of professional legal responses has become more significant.
Accordingly, with the appointment of these new legal advisors, the Corporation plans to closely review legal issues from the initial stages of its projects and to respond swiftly and systematically to various legal risks that may arise throughout project implementation.
In particular, the Corporation intends to strengthen its professional legal consultation regarding permits and approvals, contracts, compensation, and other legal issues that may occur during the course of key development projects, in order to enhance the stability and efficiency of its operations.
