Bucheon City to Launch Mobile Electronic Notification for Prior Notice of Parking Violations Starting on the 21st
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will officially launch its "Mobile Electronic Notification Service for Prior Notice of Parking and Stopping Violations" starting September 21, 2026.
This service has been introduced to reduce delivery delays and inconvenience previously experienced with paper-based notifications sent by mail, and to enable citizens to check notification details more quickly and securely.
The city will first send the mobile electronic notifications as Alert messages through the official "Bucheon City Mobile Electronic Notification" channel on KakaoTalk. For those who do not use KakaoTalk or do not receive the Alert message, a second notification will be sent via SMS. Citizens can check the details of the prior notice of parking and stopping violations after identity verification, directly through the received message, without the need to install any additional apps.
Currently, the service is available to Korean individuals, but the city is working on system development and information integration to extend the mobile electronic notification service to corporations and foreigners in the future.
Citizens who do not receive the mobile electronic notification or fail to view it within the designated period will continue to receive paper notifications by mail, in accordance with the previous method.
