On the previous day, Samyang Corporation announced on September 9 that it hosted a seminar on the topic of "Specialty Food Solutions" at the Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam, inviting around 200 researchers from food industry manufacturers.
The seminar consisted of five sessions: ▲Low-sugar trends and sugar reduction solutions, ▲Stevia solutions partner presentation, ▲Introduction of crystalline dietary fiber "Kestose," ▲Functional research achievements, and ▲Overview of the soda aromatic flavor business.
In particular, Samyang Corporation highlighted its dietary fiber brand "Fibernova" and emphasized its crystalline prebiotic "Kestose." Kestose is a crystalline dietary fiber that contains over 99% fructooligosaccharides (FOS), and it can be applied to product categories such as chocolate and cream that require stringent moisture management and have historically been difficult to formulate with conventional dietary fibers.
Additionally, Samyang Corporation shared strategies for dietary fiber fortification and sugar reduction—leveraging Kestose to align with the rising "fiber-maxing" trend, which emphasizes increased dietary fiber intake—and introduced various application cases in beverages, snacks, and confectionery.
At the seminar, experts from Samyang Corporation's global partners and overseas affiliates participated as speakers, sharing their proprietary technologies and market insights. In particular, PureCircle by Ingredion, a global stevia specialist company that has maintained a close partnership in Korea, delivered a presentation on the characteristics of stevia and differentiated solution technologies based on consumer insights, and showcased cases of actual product applications.
Jisuk Jung, Head of Food BU at Samyang Corporation, stated, "In today’s food market, the capability to develop products that satisfy both taste and health has become increasingly important. We hope that this seminar will help client companies clarify their product development directions and explore new possibilities."
