'NH Change Makers,' continuing from last year, was established to support local residents in resolving the social issues facing rural areas in Vietnam on their own. It organizes an idea contest for local residents, and provides support so that outstanding projects selected from the contest can be implemented in reality.
On September 7, employees of NongHyup Financial Group visited Son Thuy Commune in Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, and delivered donations to local residents and children. They also participated in tree-planting volunteer work with local residents to promote the creation of eco-friendly rural environments.
On September 8, an appointment ceremony for the contest to address community issues was held. More than 40 creative and effective project ideas were submitted to this contest, with three being selected as outstanding projects.
Executive Vice President Im stated, "It is significant that NongHyup Financial Group, which has grown based on Korea's agriculture and rural community, can contribute to sustainable development and self-reliance in Vietnam's rural regions. We will continue to practice the value of inclusive growth and mutual prosperity based on strong partnerships with the local government and community in Vietnam."
