23 Government Research Institutes Connected by a Single Messenger... AI Chatbots to Follow
NST Launches "ONEST"
All-in-One Platform for Collaboration, Access, and Overseas Academic Resources
A unified collaborative environment has been established, enabling 23 government-funded research institutes in the field of science and technology to communicate and conduct joint research using a single messenger and knowledge portal. In the future, AI-powered unified search and chatbots specialized for government research institutes will be introduced as well.
The National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) announced on the 9th that it has been officially operating the integrated collaboration platform "ONEST Messenger" and "ONEST Knowledge Portal" for 23 government-funded research institutes since August 28.
ONEST is a system that connects various work support services previously scattered across different institutes onto a single platform. With a single login, users can access services such as personal and group chats; "Works," a project-based collaborative workspace; a unified access control system for all government research institutes; overseas academic paper document delivery; and researcher profiles.
NST plans to further expand tailored features for each institute and sequentially introduce AI-powered unified search, as well as chatbots specialized for government-funded research institutes.
Kim Youngsik, Chairman of NST, stated, "This marks a new beginning, connecting the 23 government-funded research institutes into a single digital collaboration ecosystem," and added, "By actively leveraging AI technology, we will create a research environment where researchers can communicate and collaborate more freely."
