Up to 10% Off Gangseo Sarang Gift Certificate
15% Discount on Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate
Gangseo District in Seoul (District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon) will sequentially issue two types of local gift certificates ahead of Chuseok: the ‘Gangseo Sarang Gift Certificate’ and the public delivery app-exclusive ‘Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’.
The Gangseo Sarang Gift Certificate will be issued on September 16 at 1:00 p.m., in an amount of 10 billion won. A 5% discount is applied immediately upon purchase, and when used at affiliated merchants, an additional 5% of the payment amount is reimbursed, offering up to a 10% discount benefit.
Each individual can purchase up to 500,000 won per month, with a maximum holding limit of 1.5 million won. The validity period is five years from the date of issuance. The gift certificates can be used at about 26,000 affiliated stores within Gangseo District, including restaurants, hair salons, pharmacies, convenience stores, and traditional markets. However, use is restricted in certain business sectors such as large supermarkets and department stores for the protection of local businesses.
The Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate will be issued at a 15% discounted price starting October 1 at 10:00 a.m. Individuals may purchase up to 200,000 won. When ordering through the public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’, customers can select the ‘(New) Gangseo Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ as the payment method. The district explained that this measure is intended to reduce delivery brokerage fees for small businesses and dining costs for residents. Both certificates can be purchased via the exclusive app ‘Seoul Pay Plus (Seoul Pay+)’, and may be closed early if the budget is exhausted.
