The proposed revision establishes a legal basis for selecting outstanding companies that have created high-quality jobs and providing them with administrative and financial support. It also stipulates in the legislation the grounds for identifying and rewarding contributors to job creation.
However, companies with serious legal violations, such as wage arrears, violations of industrial safety laws, or workplace harassment, will be restricted from being selected as outstanding companies in order to ensure the credibility of the system.
Assemblyman Park stated, "We need to establish a virtuous cycle in which companies that create good jobs are properly evaluated and supported by the state so that they can generate even more high-quality jobs," adding, "By setting the creation of high-quality jobs as a clear direction of national employment policy, I expect that we will be able to enhance both job security and job quality for workers."
