Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Operate 'Themed Bus' Serving Seven Western Gyeonggi Cities
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will operate the "Gyeonggi Western Metropolitan Themed Bus" on its regular routes for the second half of the year, connecting seven regions in western Gyeonggi—Bucheon, Hwaseong, Gwangmyeong, Gimpo, Siheung, Ansan, and Pyeongtaek—from September 12 until the end of November.
The Gyeonggi Western Metropolitan Themed Bus is a wide-area tourism product designed to expand tourism beyond individual city-centered tours and promote inter-city travel. By linking the unique characteristics of each city—such as history, ecology, the ocean, nature, culture, and healing—through themed routes, the program enables visitors to explore attractions in two different regions within a single day.
The main routes include: ▲Hwaseong~Pyeongtaek ▲Gwangmyeong~Bucheon ▲Pyeongtaek~Hwaseong ▲Ansan~Siheung ▲Gimpo~Bucheon ▲Hwaseong~Ansan ▲Siheung~Ansan ▲Gwangmyeong~Gimpo.
Detailed information about the operation schedule, tourist sites, fares, and reservation methods for the regular routes can be found on the "Gyeonggi Western Metropolitan Themed Bus" reservation website (https://7bus.co.kr/).
Before the launch of the regular routes, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will conduct a K-Tour Press Group Fam Tour. The fam tour will visit major attractions, including Bucheon Natural Ecological Park, Hwaseong West Sea Cable Car, Gwangmyeong Cave, Gimpo Healing Foot Bath Experience, Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park, Ansan Glass Island Museum, and Pyeongtaek Horangi Baekkop Brewery. Based on their on-site tourism and experiences, the press group plans to produce travel reviews and tourism content to be featured on the Gyeonggi Tourism Platform as well as individual blogs and social media channels.
