"Supporting Safe Holiday Travel"... Five Major Automakers Offer Free Vehicle Inspections for Chuseok
To Be Held at Authorized and Affiliated Service Centers Nationwide
The Korea Automobile & Mobility Industry Association announced on September 8 that, to ensure the safe operation of vehicles during the Chuseok holiday period, domestic automakers will provide a “Free Vehicle Inspection Service for the Chuseok Holidays.”
The free inspection, which will run from September 17 to 23, will involve participation from all five major domestic manufacturers: Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, GM Korea, Renault Korea, and KG Mobility.
Hyundai Motor Company will offer inspections at 1,203 partner Bluehands service centers, and Kia will provide the service at 750 partner Auto Q locations. Only customers who download a coupon online will be eligible for the free inspection.
For GM Korea, the service will be provided at three technical service centers and 372 affiliated service centers. KG Mobility will conduct inspections at two directly operated service centers and 56 affiliated service centers. Renault Korea will provide the service at seven directly operated service centers and 354 affiliated service centers.
During the inspection period, customers can have their vehicles checked for engine and air conditioning system condition, tire pressure and wear, brake and pad wear, coolant and other oil levels, as well as the condition of wipers and fuses.

Additionally, the five automakers plan to provide ongoing support through an emergency dispatch team, enabling customers to receive prompt service from nearby repair shops in the event of a breakdown or traffic accident while driving.
