The signing ceremony was attended by 17 officials from both companies, including Atsushi Omatsu, CEO of Nikken Sekkei; Wataru Tanaka, Head of Overseas Business Division at Nikken Sekkei; Seokmoon Woo, CEO of Shinhan Lifecare; and Huigyeong Lee, Head of Strategy Planning Group at Shinhan Life.
This agreement aims to go beyond facilities that simply provide care to seniors by creating living spaces where seniors' everyday lives and healthy living can continue naturally, in response to the rapidly changing domestic demand for senior housing. The plan is to build a differentiated senior housing model suitable for the local environment by combining Shinhan Lifecare's expertise in planning and operating senior facilities with Nikken Sekkei's accumulated knowledge in architectural space planning.
Going forward, the two companies will collaborate in a variety of fields for Shinhan Lifecare's business locations, including: ▲ architectural and interior design and the establishment of space master plans; ▲ introduction of advanced Japanese models for senior facilities; ▲ resident-centered movement flow and space composition; ▲ application of smart healthcare technology and universal design; ▲ and identification of opportunities for the development of senior facilities both domestically and internationally.
