Lytton to Limit Crack Usage for Teens to 3 Hours a Day and Monthly Payment Cap to 100,000 Won

Lytton Technologies, an artificial intelligence (AI) service platform company, will introduce daily usage time limits and monthly payment caps for teenagers using its AI entertainment content platform, “Crack.”
On September 8, Lytton announced plans to strengthen its youth protection policy on “Crack.”
The maximum daily usage time for teenagers will be limited to three hours, and the monthly payment cap will be set at 100,000 won. If a user exceeds the daily usage time or monthly payment limit, parental verification and consent will be required.
Crack will also revise and improve its overall youth protection policies—such as the current content creation policy, age rating management, content review system, search and recommendation restrictions, reporting and blocking functions, and sanctions on violating accounts—by analyzing the latest usage patterns. The company further plans to enhance safety technologies, including additional filters and more robust safety system prompts, to promote secure interactions.
For age verification measures to protect teenagers, the company is seeking methods that could include additional verification channels to strengthen both accuracy and safety. Currently, Crack identifies adults and teenagers using the PASS universal certificate issued by telecom companies, which are government-designated identity verification providers.
Crack plans to complete institutional and technical reviews, as well as system upgrades for the enhanced youth protection policy, by the end of this year, and to officially implement them from early 2027.
