Side Finishing Matches Surface on Jin Grande Square
Dongwha Nature Maru, the building material brand of Dongwha Corporation, announced on September 8 that it has introduced the "Hidden Edge" technology, which applies the same color finish to the side of the flooring as the surface.
The Hidden Edge uses an automated coating process to apply color evenly, ensuring that seams are hardly visible when installing engineered flooring. This results in a visually wider appearance and a more polished overall space.
The Hidden Edge is applied to the square (675x675mm) and rectangular (675x1210mm) formats of the engineered flooring "Jin Grande Square." Unlike conventional tile-type flooring, which leaves the wood cross-section exposed on the sides, this technology reduces the sense of separation at boundaries, making the unique texture of tile-type flooring stand out.
Jin Grande Square is more resistant to dents and scratches compared to solid wood or plywood flooring, maintaining a clean appearance for a long time after installation. Its strong water resistance helps prevent swelling or warping caused by moisture. In addition, it offers excellent thermal conductivity and heat retention, making it suitable for traditional Korean residential spaces with floor heating. The carbon storage effect is another advantage: when Jin Grande Square is installed over an 84㎡ exclusive area, approximately 950kg of carbon can be stored.
