Gyeonggi Province to Inspect Food Hygiene at Over 700 Traditional Market Establishments Ahead of Chuseok
Gyeonggi Province will conduct a special hygiene and safety guidance campaign in collaboration with five traditional markets in the province, targeting approximately 700 food handling establishments from September 7 to September 18, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This special inspection aims to improve and strengthen the hygiene standards of traditional markets, which are popular among residents during the holiday season as they prepare for Chuseok foods such as rice cakes, jeon, hangwa, and tofu.
The campaign will focus on food service establishments and on-site food manufacturing and sales operations within five markets recommended by local cities and counties: Osaek Market in Osan, Ujeong Joam Market and Baran Manse Market in Hwaseong, Wondang Market in Goyang, and Uijeongbu Jeil Market.
