The on-site visit was attended by Chairperson Shin Hyunnyeo as well as assembly members Lee Juyeon, Park Heejung, Lee Sangwook, Lim Jungyo, Seo Jeongil, and Oh Sujeong.
The assembly members reviewed the latest technologies and policy case studies for waste reduction, promotion of recycling, and the transition to a circular economy at the expo. They also discussed the role and support measures of local councils in expanding resource circulation initiatives, and exchanged opinions on developing policies and legislative directions that could be adapted to Yongin’s circumstances.
Chairperson Shin Hyunnyeo said, "Carbon neutrality is not an issue confined to the environment, but an era-defining task that requires transformation across industry, consumption, and everyday life. We will thoroughly review outstanding examples and policy trends to identify resource circulation policies tailored to Yongin’s specific conditions."
Assemblyman Lee Sangwook stated, "Resource circulation goes beyond waste management—it's a core policy for making efficient use of limited resources and building a sustainable local community. We will prepare support measures that citizens can truly experience."
Assemblywoman Park Heejung commented, "A transition to a circular economy requires active participation from both businesses and citizens. We will seek ways to strengthen Yongin’s resource circulation infrastructure and pursue balanced development in partnership with businesses’ ESG management and the local community."
