Kidzania and Gyeongbuk District JC Join Forces to Expand Career Exploration for Children in Gyeongbuk
Expansion of On-Site Career Experience Programs Linked with 'Kidzania GO'
Children and youth in the Gyeongbuk region will now have more opportunities to experience a variety of professions and explore their career paths.
Kidzania, the global career-experience theme park, announced on September 7 that it will collaborate with the Gyeongbuk District Junior Chamber (Gyeongbuk District JC) to promote career exploration activities for children and youth in Gyeongbuk and to foster mutual growth within the local community.
On September 5, Kidzania signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gyeongbuk District JC at Naeseongcheon Sports Park in Bonghwa-eup, Gyeongbuk, to establish a framework for mutual cooperation.
This agreement aims to connect Kidzania's diverse career experience content with the regional network of the Gyeongbuk District JC, providing a wide range of experiences for local children and youth who previously had limited access to such career exploration opportunities.
Initially, the two organizations will offer Kidzania usage discounts for families of Gyeongbuk District JC members and support local children in experiencing career programs with less financial burden.
Programs that visit local communities directly will also be expanded. By linking Kidzania's on-site career experience initiative, 'Kidzania GO,' to events hosted by Gyeongbuk youth organizations, local governments, and regional festivals, the plan is to enable children and youth to encounter a range of professions closer to home.
Cooperation with local governments and public institutions throughout North Gyeongsang Province will also be gradually expanded. The two organizations will pursue community engagement initiatives to help local children and youth explore their career paths, continually broadening career-exploration opportunities across the region.
An official from Kidzania said, "We are pleased to provide children and youth in the Gyeongbuk region with various career experience opportunities through this agreement," adding, "Through continued cooperation with the Gyeongbuk District JC, we will further expand opportunities for local communities to access Kidzania's career experience content."
