The KB Financial Golden Life Championship, a major tournament on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, is starting anew.
This year, the competition will take place over four days from September 10 to 13 at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The total prize pool is 1.5 billion won, and the winner's prize is 270 million won.
Since its inception in 2006, it has been a flagship major tournament on the KLPGA Tour. Until last year, it was held as the KB Financial Star Championship, but starting this year, it has been renamed the KB Financial Golden Life Championship. Along with the name change, KB Financial is transforming the tournament into a golf festival for players, fans, and families to enjoy together. The company also plans to add meaning by promoting shared growth with future generations and the local community.

The new trophy was created by artist Song Inwook, who won the KB Star Award at the 2026 Hwarang Art Fair’s Special Exhibition for Emerging Artists. Made from wood, the trophy features elegant curves.
At the Gallery Plaza, KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Kookmin Card, KB Life Insurance, and three other major affiliates have set up a senior total care solution booth. Visitors can experience a range of financial and life care services designed for every stage of life, from pre-retirement planning to post-retirement living, all in one place. There is also a dedicated area for families visiting with children. At the Kids Water Zone, a variety of programs for children will be offered, including drones, bubble activities, and water gun games.
On the official practice day before the tournament opens, KB Financial-affiliated professional golfers Jun Inji, Bang Shinsil, An Songi, and Park Yeji will mentor promising local junior golfers. Via mentoring sessions on the driving range and course, the players will share their know-how and experience gained from real competition.
