Naver Cloud's Collaboration Platform "LINE WORKS" Adopted as Official Tool by Hsinchu City, Taiwan
Joint Pilot Projects for Digital-Based Administrative Applications
Naver Cloud announced on September 7 that its collaboration platform, LINE WORKS, has been adopted as the official collaboration tool by Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
This adoption marks the first large-scale partnership between LINE WORKS and a Taiwanese government agency, enabling Naver Cloud to accelerate its global expansion by actively entering the Taiwanese public sector market following its success in Japan.
Hsinchu City is a core science and technology hub in Taiwan, home to the country’s largest semiconductor and IT industrial complexes, including TSMC. The city proactively introduced LINE WORKS on a large scale as a key initiative to realize its smart city vision and promote AI-based digital transformation in public administration.
Going forward, both parties plan to jointly pursue research and pilot projects for administrative applications based on AI and digital technology, aiming to improve administrative efficiency and enhance the quality of citizen services through further research and demonstration studies.
This achievement is expected to dramatically accelerate LINE WORKS’ expansion in the Taiwanese market. Within only about 10 months since its official launch in Taiwan, LINE WORKS has quickly established itself by securing over 150 companies and organizations and more than 10,000 users.

Naver Cloud plans to leverage its proven expertise—including eight consecutive years of market leadership in Japan’s business collaboration tool sector since 2017—and use the Hsinchu City case as a milestone to actively drive the adoption of LINE WORKS by other local governments and public institutions throughout Taiwan.
