Sam-il PwC to Hold Tax Revision Seminar for Japanese-affiliated Companies

Sam-il PwC announced that it will hold a 2026 tax revision seminar for Japanese-affiliated companies on September 18 at 5 p.m. at the TS Hall on the 17th floor of Amorepacific headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul. This event is designed to help management, financial, and tax professionals at Japanese-affiliated companies understand the government’s direction in tax policy and respond effectively.
The first part of the seminar will be conducted in Japanese, while the second and third sessions will be conducted in Korean. In the first part, Michitaka Harayama, an executive director at Sam-il PwC who is also a Japanese tax accountant and former employee of Japan’s National Tax Agency, will explain the latest tax law amendments. In the second part, Nam Sun Lee, a partner at Sam-il PwC, will address corporate tax reforms.
Key topics will include support for investment in strategic industries and high-tech sectors, tax support for R&D and new growth businesses, tax improvements related to corporate restructuring, and updates to international taxation systems.
In the third part, Sam-il PwC partner Byung Kook Jin will introduce individual-related tax reforms such as the rationalization of real estate taxation and revisions to inheritance tax deductions for family businesses.
