Nexen Tire to Supply Original Equipment Tires for Hyundai's All-New Avante
Enfren S Selected for Korea and North America
Enblue S and Enfren Primus Introduced in Europe and Middle East
Diverse Lineup for the All-New Eighth Generation Model
Nexen Tire will supply original equipment (OE) tires for Hyundai Motor Company's compact sedan, the All-New Avante.
Nexen Tire announced on September 7 that, starting with this supply, it will sequentially equip different product lines tailored to the climate and road conditions of each region.
For the domestic and North American markets, where the four seasons are distinctly marked, Nexen Tire will provide 16-inch and 18-inch Enfren S tires. The Enfren S applies 3D kerf technology with fine grooves to maximize road grip even on snowy surfaces. This ensures stable handling and braking performance during the winter season. Additionally, the variable pitch block design reduces noise during driving, enhancing ride quietness, while a special compound has been used to improve both fuel efficiency and wear resistance.
For the European market, where there is significant demand for summer tires, the 16-inch Enblue S will be used. The Enblue S optimizes tread grooves that contact the road and incorporates fine sipes to prevent hydroplaning, delivering effective braking and steering stability even on wet roads. This product has already been fitted to a number of vehicles in Europe and its performance has been validated.
For the Middle Eastern market, which is characterized by high temperatures and a high proportion of long-distance driving, both the 16-inch Enblue S and the 18-inch Enfren Primus will be supplied. The Enblue S lowers rolling resistance to improve fuel efficiency, while the Enfren Primus features enhanced wear resistance, providing durability for long-distance travel.
Currently, Nexen Tire is diversifying its original equipment tire portfolio to cover not only premium global brands such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, but also major volume models. Through a supply strategy tailored to vehicle models and market characteristics, the company plans to further expand its collaborations with global automakers.
