Representative Jo Jiyeon Appointed as Senior Vice Chairperson
The Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Committee of the People Power Party held an inauguration ceremony for Kim Hyungdong, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Committee (National Assembly member for Andong and Yecheon), and a certificate of appointment ceremony for key party officials at 11 a.m. on September 5 in the committee auditorium.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Lee Insun, Chairwoman of the Daegu City Party Committee of the People Power Party, as well as National Assembly members Joo Ho-young and Kim Seungsoo, and National Assembly members Kim Seokki (Gyeongju), Lee Sanghui (Pohang Nam-Ulleung), Jo Jiyeon (Gyeongsan), Lee Dalhee (proportional representation). Many local assembly members belonging to the party, including Kim Heesoo, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, and Park Seungjik, representative member, were also present.

View original imageIn his inaugural address, Chairman Kim Hyungdong stated, "We will prevent the neglect of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province by the current administration, including the cancellation of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk New Airport and special administrative integration, as well as counter the oppression stemming from regionally biased industrial policies. By pursuing the second relocation of public institutions to Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, we will strengthen the growth engine of North Gyeongsang Province, unite the provincial party as one, and establish the foundation for victory in the next general election."
