"K-pop Idols Sell Small Business Products on Their Behalf"
Korea Federation of SMEs Recruits Small Businesses
for Participation in 'Yellow Flea Market'
The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 6th that it is recruiting small businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs to participate in the Yellow Umbrella digital content program "Yellow Flea Market."
"Yellow Flea Market" is a program where K-pop idols act as one-day salespeople for small business owners, directly promoting and selling products at offline flea markets. This program offers small business owners opportunities to publicize their products using the influence of idols and to reach new sales channels. At the same time, consumers can experience both K-pop culture and goods created by small business owners.
This content consists of three episodes: ▲K-Trend ▲K-Beauty ▲K-Food. For each episode, approximately 10 small businesses or self-employed entrepreneurs will be selected, and their products will be purchased in advance by Yellow Umbrella. Afterward, K-pop idols will directly promote and sell these products to consumers across various locations in Seoul.
First, for the "K-Trend" episode filmed at Gwanghwamun on the 17th, "Brave Girls" and "N.Flying" will participate, presenting creative and trendy various accessories from small business owners. On the 18th, the "K-Beauty" episode will feature "Apink" and "WJSN" in Seongsu-dong introducing fashion and beauty items such as clothing, jewelry, and skincare. On the 21st in Hongdae, "On and Off" and "CRAVITY" will discover small businesses and entrepreneurs who create noteworthy desserts and foods on social media, promoting their "K-Food" to consumers.
