Foreign Minister Cho Hyun is visiting Nepal, where large-scale flooding has occurred.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 5th, Minister Cho will visit Nepal from the 5th to the 7th and hold a Korea-Nepal Foreign Ministers' meeting with Nepalese Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal.

View original imageDuring the meeting, Minister Cho is expected to request the Nepalese side's support to ensure a smooth search operation for the missing Korean nationals. The two foreign ministers held phone calls on August 27 and 31, during which Minister Cho requested focused search operations in areas where Korean nationals are believed to be missing.
Minister Cho will also meet with the families of missing Korean nationals residing in Nepal, representatives from Korean companies, and encourage members of the Korea Disaster Relief Team (KDRT) who are operating on site.
