LG Electronics has unveiled its AI agent, 'ThinQ Clow', which connects home appliances, spaces, and artificial intelligence (AI), stepping up efforts to expand the AI home experience even outside the home. The company aims to launch ThinQ Clow next year, with plans to optimize its features for each market and language and to extend its interface accordingly.
No Beomjun, Senior Vice President of AI Home Solution Business Development for LG Electronics' Home Appliances & Air Solution (HS) division, stated at a press briefing held on the 4th (local time) in Berlin, Germany, during 'IFA 2026', "Through ThinQ Clow, we expanded the interface so that even when you are outside the home, you and your household can share the AI experience."
ThinQ Clow is an AI agent based on LG Electronics’ AI home platform, 'ThinQ ON', connecting appliances, spaces, AI, and users. It allows users to communicate with their home and appliances and perform necessary tasks through familiar platforms such as KakaoTalk or Telegram, even when they are outside the home.

It can also proactively recommend air conditioning or cleaning during the vacation period, based on the child’s academic schedule and calendar.
However, the AI does not execute any task automatically without the user's permission. No emphasized, "AI doesn't just act on its own; it is only executed when the owner grants permission," adding, "We are committed to strictly upholding the 'human in the loop' approach to ensure security and safety." Human in the loop refers to the principle that humans must be actively involved in the operation and supervision of AI or automation systems.
ThinQ Clow is expected to begin beta testing in Korea as early as this month, with the goal of launching within the year.
Regarding the competitiveness of ThinQ Clow, No noted, "When an appliance is placed in a particular space, it can link and integrate with other devices," explaining that, "We can further expand the interface by utilizing platforms that people already use often and spend a lot of time on in their daily lives."
LG Electronics plans to expand ThinQ Clow to widely used platforms in each market, rather than limiting it to a particular platform. No said, "We're going to test ThinQ Clow with both KakaoTalk and Telegram this time," and added, "Since the most popular and beloved platforms differ by market, we plan to experiment with various options."
Optimization by language is also underway. No stated, "AI tools do not apply perfectly to every language yet, so we are making various attempts," adding, "ThinQ ON has been launched in Korea, and we are preparing to launch it in several other markets."
