SOOP Acquires New Pangyo Headquarters for 20th Anniversary with 130 Billion Won Investment
Acquisition of building and land in Sampyeong-dong, Bundang for 131.5 billion won

Global live streaming platform SOOP is set to establish its own base in Pangyo, 20 years after launching its service. The company plans to consolidate its management, technology, and business divisions—previously scattered in various locations—into one central hub, aiming to strengthen its platform competitiveness and accelerate technology development.
On September 4, SOOP announced via a disclosure that it will purchase the land and building of GB2-C located at 25, Pangyoro 256beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The total acquisition amount is approximately 131.5 billion won, with the balance payment scheduled for September 30. The investment resources will be raised through both internal funds and loans from financial institutions. By securing a permanent base with a substantial capital investment on the 20th anniversary of the service launch, the company is taking steps to improve its organizational structure for sustained growth.
The purpose of this headquarters acquisition is to integrate previously dispersed workspaces—driven by business expansion and entry into new businesses—into a single hub. As SOOP’s organizational scale increased, management divisions, development staff, and major affiliates were based in separate locations, resulting in structural issues such as rising communication costs between departments.

The new office will function as an integrated control tower encompassing corporate headquarters and the core research and development (R&D) center. Starting in the fourth quarter of this year, SOOP plans to gradually relocate its management, technology, and business divisions, as well as its affiliates, with full reorganization scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2028. Through this physical unification, the company aims to speed up decision-making and maximize synergy in artificial intelligence (AI) and streaming technology R&D.
