Seoul Credit Information Services Appoints Kim Jungkeun as New CEO... Strengthening Management Continuity and AI Strategy
18 Years of Experience in Finance and Corporate Planning
Led Practical Reforms Including Co-CEO System and AI Strategy Task Force
On September 4, at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board meeting, Seoul Credit Information Services appointed President Kim Jungkeun as the new CEO. By selecting an internal expert with 18 years of experience, the company aims to ensure stable continuation of its current management policy, while accelerating new AI- and data-driven businesses and organizational innovation.
The new CEO, Kim, joined Seoul Credit Information Services in 2008 as the head of the accounting team and has since held several key positions including Director of Finance, Head of Corporate Management Division, Head of Corporate Planning Division, and CFO. With extensive experience at the heart of financial and corporate planning operations, Kim is recognized as an internal leader with a strong understanding of the company’s business structure and internal operations.
CEO Kim also led several key restructuring initiatives under the previous management. Notable accomplishments include the introduction of a co-CEO system to enhance accountability and agility in decision-making for each business unit, a change of the company name, the introduction of a horizontal job title system to ensure internal fairness and boost employee engagement, and the establishment and management of an AI Strategy Task Force.
In particular, the AI Strategy Task Force was established and has been managed to increase operational efficiency across the organization. Seoul Credit Information Services plans to continue driving work innovation utilizing AI and to develop new data-driven businesses moving forward.
In terms of management direction, the company will maintain continuity with its existing policies. In line with previously announced value enhancement plans, Seoul Credit Information Services will reinforce a profitability-focused management system, while continuing shareholder return policies—such as high dividend payouts—to enhance shareholder value.
At the same time, while bolstering the competitiveness of existing businesses, the company intends to expand its foundation for sustainable growth by pursuing new AI- and data-driven businesses.
This leadership change is seen as a strategic move to further solidify the core business, while swiftly implementing shareholder-friendly and value-enhancing measures in response to market demands.
