No Setbacks for Temporary Relocation of Gadeokdo New Airport Residents... "Substitute Housing Secured"
The process for the temporary relocation of residents due to the construction of Gadeokdo New Airport is expected to proceed as scheduled.
Although the initially discussed residential leasing company had informed officials of its difficulty in supplying homes, it has been reported that substitute housing units have been secured.
On September 4, the Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Authority announced that it had secured a sufficient supply of temporary housing by utilizing unsold homes, in cooperation with the Busan Metropolitan City Housing and Architecture Department.
Booyoung Housing Co., Ltd., the original counterpart in the discussions, finally notified last month that it would not be able to supply housing due to reasons related to its business plan and management schedule. However, the authority expects no impact on the project timeline as substitute units have now been secured.
