Thirty Busan Vocational High School Students to Receive Global Job Training in Australia
Global Education Program for Students from 16 Schools: 12 Weeks in Australia
From Language and Job Training to On-site Internships
Thirty vocational high school students from the Busan region will gain practical experience in their fields of study through 12 weeks of language and job training, as well as on-site internships, in Australia.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on September 4 that 30 students from 16 vocational high schools will participate in a global field study program in Australia from September 10 to December 6.
On the morning of the same day, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held the "2026 Vocational High School Global Field Study Send-off Ceremony" at its international conference hall, where the schedule was explained to the students before their departure.

The students selected for this year's program completed 176 hours of online and offline preparatory training from May, following the first selection round, through September. The final group of 30 students will depart for Australia on September 10.
The local training will span 12 weeks. Students will first participate in a seven-week language course, followed by two weeks of job training and three weeks of on-site internship. Through job training and internships tailored to their majors and aptitudes, the students will experience real work environments.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education expects that, thanks to the preparatory training that built their foundational foreign language and job-related skills, students will be able to adapt well to the training and work experience abroad.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun said, "I hope this field study becomes an opportunity for students to strengthen their skills and confidence on the global stage. Above all, I wish for everyone to complete the program safely and return in good health."
