Riot Games to Release Korean Edition of LoL Card Game 'Liftbound' on September 18
The First 'Liftbound' Set, 'Origin,' Launches
Release Events at GGX and Dopamine Station
Riot Games announced on September 3 that the Korean version of the physical trading card game (TCG) 'Liftbound' will be officially released on September 18.
The game is a trading card game based on the universe of 'League of Legends (LoL)'. It is a strategic card battle game in which two to four players build decks and compete for control of the battlefield in offline environments. The game was released in North America, Europe, and China last year, and in Korea, the first 'Liftbound' set, 'Origin,' will be unveiled.
In line with the launch in Korea, Riot Games has specially created a new card, 'Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox.' This card, included in the Korean version of the 'Origin' booster pack, features 'Ahri'—a champion introduced in celebration of LoL's Korean release in 2011. The card draws inspiration from the Korean legend of the nine-tailed fox, Gumiho.

To celebrate the game's launch, special release events will be held from September 18 at the 'GGX' PC cafe near Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul, as well as at the 'Dopamine Station' in IPark Mall, Yongsan. In particular, a dedicated 'Liftbound' store will be set up at GGX, allowing visitors not only to purchase products but also to enjoy gameplay. Riot Games plans to further expand the availability of 'Liftbound'—both for playing with friends and for purchasing products—within the PC cafe ecosystem.
