Companies to Meet with Seniors' Centers Monthly... Changwon Launches 'One Company, One Vulnerable Group Accompaniment' Program
GoodDay and Local Businesses Join Effort, Offering Daily Necessities and Local Products
"Ongoing Exchanges Replace One-Time Donations in Community Giving"
A new community support initiative is being launched in Changwon, where local companies and seniors’ community centers (Kyungrodang) will meet monthly to assist local elderly residents. Departing from one-time donations, this program enables ongoing, direct interaction between companies and seniors.
GoodDay announced on the 3rd that it participated in the "One Company, One Vulnerable Group Accompaniment Project" business agreement ceremony held on the 2nd in the reception room at Changwon City Hall.
The ceremony was attended by Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Kim Jin-ik, Executive Director of GoodDay; Kang Gi-yoon, Mayor of Changwon Special City; and Jung Youngsik, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea. Representatives from local companies such as Hyundai Wia, LG Electronics, Hyosung Heavy Industries, and K Shipbuilding were also present.

Participating companies will deliver a "Happiness Accompaniment Kit"—which includes locally produced goods, daily necessities, and seasonal snacks—to the seniors’ centers each month, while also engaging directly with the residents.
By using locally produced goods for the support materials, the program not only helps improve the well-being of the elderly but also aims to raise awareness of local businesses and their products.
The sustainability of the project is its main feature. Rather than simply dropping off donations, companies are expected to build ongoing relationships with the community centers and continuously assess and support the needs of local seniors.
Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "I hope this becomes an opportunity for companies and seniors’ centers to foster lasting relationships and neighborly warmth. I expect that small acts by companies will empower local seniors and help spread a culture of kindness and sharing throughout the community."
