Habit Factory Joins "Everyone’s AI" SKT Consortium
"A New Era Where AI Supports Financial Life"
Fintech company Habit Factory announced on September 3 that it will participate as a partner in the finance and payment sector after SK Telecom’s consortium was selected as the implementing agency for the “Everyone’s Artificial Intelligence (AI)” initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
The Everyone’s AI initiative is a project aimed at connecting domestic AI models with daily life services, making AI easily and conveniently accessible to everyone in Korea. In the finance and payment sector, Habit Factory will be joined by Shinhan Card and Hana Card, bringing the total number of participating partners to three.
Habit Factory will be responsible for developing a service that combines MyData (personal credit information management) and AI agents to support asset management and retirement planning. The goal is to integrate information scattered across banks, card companies, securities firms, and insurance providers, in addition to retirement and personal pension data, to enable efficient asset management and assessment of retirement readiness.
Habit Factory explained that MyData will play a pivotal role in expanding the adoption of AI-based asset management services. The company believes that AI agents must evolve beyond the general information provision offered by universal AI, moving towards a stage where data is understood and personalized decision-making support is provided.
Since its establishment in 2016, Habit Factory has obtained official MyData authorization and has been analyzing financial information to recommend products. The company emphasized that, based on its accumulated experience, it possesses the capability to design services that utilize financial information securely.
Habit Factory expressed its expectation that by combining its MyData utilization, regulatory compliance, and security expertise with SK Telecom’s AI technology and broad customer access, AI agents can be developed to meaningfully support individuals' financial activities.
The SK Telecom consortium plans to use domestic AI models, including its own proprietary AI foundation model “A.X K2,” to build the service, with a beta launch scheduled for October and a full-scale official launch planned within the year.
