"How to Talk with an Adolescent Child"... Government24 to Launch 'Hyper-Personalized Recommendation Service' by Year-End
From the 4th, All Family Relationship Education Information Available in One Place
Integrated Service Launches on Government24
An integrated system will be established to allow users to access and receive support for 'Family Relationship Education'—information that was previously scattered across various government ministries—all in one place.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 3rd that, starting September 4, 'Government24' will provide integrated family relationship education services covering the entire life cycle and different family circumstances, including parental and family education, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, and parent education for school-age children.
Family relationship education refers to educational information on parental roles and healthy marital relationships necessary for marriage, childbirth, and raising children. This includes the parental and family education provided by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, school-age child parent education by the Ministry of Education, and education related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Until now, the division of policy targets and ministries resulted in family relationship information being dispersed, requiring users to search for relevant information individually. To alleviate these inconveniences, the government has connected content and services from each ministry so that users can search for the information they need and apply for programs directly on Government24, without needing to search for individual agencies or project names.
Government24 will categorize family relationship education into seven areas of interest based on the life cycle and family situation, making it easier for people to find education relevant to their needs. These areas include: when family relationship education or family center services are needed between couples or parents and children; when reliable information about pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare is required; when raising infants or toddlers; when parents wish to develop further as caregivers; when facing challenges in relationships with teenage children; when positive parenting education is needed for both parents and children; and when young people are preparing for marriage, childbirth, and parenting while seeking to develop future competencies. Rather than simply bringing together materials from various institutions, the unique aspect of this system is the reclassification and interconnection of content from the user's perspective—so people can find and link information as they actually search for it.

View original imageBy the end of this year, a 'hyper-personalized recommendation service' using generative artificial intelligence (AI) will also be introduced to help users find family education programs tailored to their individual situations.
This service will be linked to the Government24's generative AI-based personalized search and will recommend appropriate family communication and education programs by analyzing users' member information such as age and location, as well as additional queries.
For example, if a user experiencing communication difficulties with a middle school child searches for 'how to communicate empathically with an adolescent child,' the AI can recommend suitable online communication courses and, based on the user's place of residence, also inform them about nearby parent-child programs at local family centers.
In addition, the introduction of an integrated login (Any-ID) system is planned to reduce the inconvenience of having to register and log in separately to each site. Once logged into Government24, users will be able to apply for and participate in educational programs on affiliated sites without re-authenticating.
Minister of Gender Equality and Family Won Minkyoung stated, "We will continue to improve the system so that people can more easily and conveniently access education that matches their life stage and family circumstances and so that family relationship education becomes a practical part of daily life."

Minister of the Interior and Safety Yun Ho-jung also said, "Through this service, many people will be able to search for and even apply for the family relationship education programs they need all at once through Government24. We will continue to actively collaborate with relevant ministries to realize an 'AI Democracy Government,' making it easier and more convenient for everyone to access administrative services in daily life without any inconvenience."
