Government Selects Naver as Operator for Cybersecurity-Specialized AI Model Development Project (Update)
Naver Cloud to Receive 256 B200 GPUs in Total
The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on September 3 that, after a presentation evaluation of the two applicants (SK Telecom and Naver Cloud) participating in the bidding for the "AI Foundation Model Development Specialized for Cybersecurity" project, the Naver Cloud consortium has been selected as the final project operator.
During the presentation evaluation, a committee composed of external experts in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity comprehensively assessed the technical capabilities, development experience, strategies and technologies, feasibility and excellence of the objectives, as well as the marketability and potential ripple effects, based on the business plans and presentations submitted by each consortium.
Naver Cloud was recognized for its outstanding technical expertise and development experience, its large-scale industry-academia-research consortium, and its superior development strategy and objectives, including the composition of multiple agents and harnesses.
Starting this month, Naver Cloud will receive support for a total of 256 B200 graphic processing units (GPUs) for a period of 10 months. After 5 months, an interim evaluation will determine whether support for the remaining 5 months will continue.
