Since last year, Seo District has operated free labor consulting services to help residents who face difficulties due to a lack of knowledge about labor laws and to lower the barriers to professional consultation.
This year, a total of 12 sessions will be held from September 7 to November through two channels: ‘Our Neighborhood Labor Consulting Office’ and ‘On-site Visiting Labor Consulting.’
The ‘Our Neighborhood Labor Consulting Office’ operates on the first floor of Seo District Office’s civil affairs department. Certified labor attorneys will provide professional consultations on various issues occurring in the workplace, such as wage arrears, unfair dismissal, and workplace harassment. For residents who have difficulty visiting on weekdays, sessions are also available on Saturdays.
The ‘On-site Visiting Labor Consulting’ will involve direct visits to locations such as the Seo District Senior Club and the International Vocational School.
Consultations will provide guidance on labor laws, workers’ rights, and essential labor information in the workplace for people aged 65 and over who are preparing for or have recently found employment.
Last year, Seo District provided professional labor consulting services to 117 people, including small business owners. For detailed consultation schedules, inquiries can be made to the Job & Youth Support Division of Seo District Office.
